Living in the Boise area means that there is always a fun community event coming up on the calendar! Many people have annual events they love attending every year, especially in the downtown area. Downtown Boise hosts more than 75 festivals and events every year, and these are some of the festivities we're most looking forward to in the months ahead.
- Art of Deco Walking Tour - 610 Julia Davis Dr, Boise, ID 83702
May 11: Starting at 6 pm, the Art of Deco Walking Tour takes participants on a unique architectural tour of Downtown Boise, with a focus on the city's Art Deco buildings. Additional tours are held on May 18, 20, and 25, with a limit of 30 participants in each group.
- Father's Day Car Show - 700 W Jefferson St, Boise, ID 83702
June 18: Now in its 20th year, the Father's Day Car Show brings an incredible array of vintage and classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles to Downtown Boise. The event takes place right in front of the State Capitol building and is a great opportunity to treat Dad to a day on the town.
- 4th July Parade - Jefferson St, Boise, ID 83702
July 4: The annual Independence Day Parade is a staple event in Downtown Boise, taking a beautiful course through the city starting at the intersection of 10th and Jefferson Street. Stick around for the 4th of July fireworks show in Ann Morrison Park later in the evening.
- Boise Soul Food Festival - 700 S Capitol Blvd, Boise, ID 83702
August 12: Taking place at Julia Davis Park, the Boise Soul Food Festival is one of the tastiest and most eagerly-anticipated festivals in the city! Expect plenty of family-friendly fun, games, live entertainment, and of course, some truly amazing food.
- Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic - 1000 S Americana Blvd, Boise, ID 83706
August 30-September 3: Held annually at Ann Morrison Park, the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic is a spectacular gathering of colorful hot air balloons in Downtown Boise. The festivities include lots of food, drink, and activities, along with daily balloon launchings.
- Art in the Park - 700 S Capitol Blvd, Boise, ID 83702
September 8-10: More than 200 artists set up every year at the Art in the Park, which takes place at Julia Davis Park in Downtown Boise. In addition to the opportunity to view and purchase work from these amazing artists, this festival offers a wide range of awesome food, music, and live entertainment.
